Hua Hin Council to solve water shortages in Hua Hin.
Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, The Mayor of Hua Hin, is proposing a 25 million Baht program to the Hua Hin Council to solve water shortages in Hua Hin during the upcoming hot season and hopefully end the reliance of water from Pranburi that has been heavily supplying the town for the last 3 years. The Mayor added that, besides water from Pranburi, the Municipality also used water from Kaeng Krachan. The proposal is to increase water production to 300 cubic metres per hour at Khao Lang Water Plant in Hua Na and also to construct a water production plant in Bo Khaem, Cha Am to produce 500 cubic metres of water per hour so that residents in densely populated areas of Hua Hin such as Hua Na, Nong Kae and Saphan Khee Lek have enough water.
The extra water will also supply Northern areas of Hua Hin such as Bo Fai, Samor Prong which have recently had ongoing water shortages and on the eastern side of Petchkasem Road. The proposal was quickly approved as water shortage is an urgent problem in Hua Hin during the hot season. Due to the needs of hotels, guesthouses, increasing population and other business here, Hua Hin’s water shortages are being stretched further every year.
